Leslie Voltaire to assume leadership of Haiti’s Transitional Presidential Council
Leslie Voltaire will assume the presidency of Haiti’s Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) on October 7, 2024, replacing Edgar Leblanc Fils. The leadership rotation was altered following corruption allegations against Smith Augustin, who was originally set to take over. Voltaire’s extensive public service experience is expected to guide the CPT through Haiti’s ongoing political transition.
