Haiti’s national women’s football team marked a successful return to international play at the Pink Ladies Week tournament held in Antalya, Turkey. Competing from October 23 to October 29, the Haitian team achieved two wins and one loss, a promising performance in the friendly tournament organized by MC Sports. While no championship title was at stake, the games are recognized by FIFA and will influence upcoming world rankings, a significant boost for Haiti’s standing in women’s football.
Six teams participated in the tournament, including Haiti, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei (Taiwan), Jordan, Kenya, and Russia. Each team played a varied number of matches, showcasing their talent and gaining valuable playing experience. For Haiti, the tournament presented an opportunity to rebuild team momentum after a prolonged period without competition.
The Haitian delegation was awarded a trophy to honor its participation, acknowledging the team’s dedication and skill throughout the tournament. Additionally, standout player Melchie Daelle Dumornay received a special trophy for her impressive individual performance, having scored two goals over two matches.
