ISTANBUL, Oct 23 (Haiti Wire) – Haiti’s women’s national football team returned to the pitch after an eight-month hiatus with a 4-2 victory over Jordan in the Pink Ladies Week tournament in Turkey on Wednesday. The match, part of an international friendly competition, saw a strong performance by the Haitian team, led by captain Batcheba Louis, as they secured their first win in the tournament.

Haiti opened the scoring in the first half with Anyssa Ibrahim finding the back of the net. Jordan quickly responded, equalizing after a defensive mistake from the Haitian side allowed the opposing forward to score. Despite the setback, Haiti regained control just before halftime, with Amandine Pierre-Louis scoring to give her team a 2-1 lead at the break.

In the second half, Haiti dominated early, increasing their lead to 4-1 with goals from Batcheba Louis in the 49th minute and Dayana Pierre-Louis just five minutes later. Although Jordan managed to score again late in the match, it was not enough to change the outcome.
