The Haitian national football team continued its strong performance in the CONCACAF Nations League B, securing a 3-1 win over Aruba on Friday. This victory, Haiti’s third consecutive in the tournament, brings them closer to qualification for both the 2025 Gold Cup and promotion to League A.

Despite a challenging start, where a defensive mix-up between Ricardo Adé and goalkeeper Johnny Placide allowed Aruba’s Perret Gentil to score in the 6th minute, Haiti regained control of the match. Throughout the first half, Haiti applied consistent pressure, creating multiple scoring opportunities.

Frantzdy Pierrot leveled the score in the 31st minute with a well-placed header, giving the Grenadiers momentum. Just seven minutes later, a penalty was awarded to Haiti after Aruba’s defense mishandled a cross from Martin Expérience. Duckens Nazon confidently converted the penalty, putting Haiti ahead 2-1.

In the second half, Nazon added another goal, his sixth of the tournament, solidifying Haiti’s lead. The 3-1 scoreline remained unchanged despite the introductions of substitutes Ronaldo Damus, Deedson Louicius, and Micaël Cantave, who helped maintain Haiti’s dominance without adding to the scoreboard.

Looking ahead, Haiti will face Aruba again on October 14 in the return match. A win in this upcoming fixture would virtually guarantee Haiti’s qualification for the 2025 Gold Cup and promotion to Nations League A.
