According to social media posts by Haitian rum producer Barbancourt, their La Réserve du Domaine, aged 15 years, has won the prestigious “Best In Class” medal at ShowRUM 2024 in Italy. The award was granted in the category for rums aged over 12 years, further emphasizing Barbancourt’s legacy of producing high-quality rum.

ShowRUM, one of Europe’s most prominent rum festivals, was held in Bologna on October 6 and 7. The event featured tastings, competitions, and masterclasses. Barbancourt’s La Réserve du Domaine stood out during the ShowRUM Tasting Competition, where experts judged rums on their aging, distillation, and raw materials.

The accolade marks another milestone for Barbancourt, which has been crafting rum in Haiti for over 150 years. The recognition at ShowRUM reinforces the brand’s international reputation for excellence in rum production.
